Default Help me take my axle out? LS teg....

Drivers side axle, 94 LS integra....Do you just pry on the rear of the inner cv joint by using the mount for leverage? And how do you get it all the way out? The only way I see is to take the bottom bolt out, where the spindle that surrounds the axle comes together...but I thought the spring was compressed? it looks like it by looking at the bushing, so i'm not sure....please help asap.

Seperate the lower ball joint and the tie rod end...then remove the 17mm through bolt on the bottom of the strut assembly...remove the 32mm nut on the end of the axle...pull the hub and the axle apart and let the hub hang to the side...with a pry bar gently pry the axle out of the intermediate shaft...now just slip the axle out from between the strut assembly and the lower control arm. Just dig in to it...its cake

absolutely NOT that is the intermediate shaft and it doesn't need to come out to change the axle. the axle will seperate from that shaft if you pry on it a bit.

I've been prying on it for a while, the axle is separated at the inner cv joint, so the only thing there is the housing for the inner cv, i'm trying to pry it out so i can put the axle back together easier....but it aint' happening....i've pried on it for like 3 hours ...no luck....

Whack it with a small sledge hammer. It'll come out.

If it comes down to it, remove the int shaft. It's just 3 dowel bolts and a quick pry with a thin screwdriver to remove it. Then whack it with a small sledge hammer.
