Changing oil on cold engine?
Just curious. Haven't driven my car this week, and need to change the oil before NOPI. Should I warm it up first or just go nuts as-is? Opposing theories, perhaps? I'm sure warm oil will drain better, but I use Mobil1 5W30, and it's been 95 degrees in the garage all week.

leave it cold. if it's been sitting for a week, the vast majority of the oil has drained from the head into the pan.
if you're replacing filter.... fill the filter with as much new oil as possible... then when you start the engine, fresh oil gets to the head faster, without having to build pressure through the filter.

When you parked your car it was warm and all the dirt and crap has settled enough to the bottom already, no need to warm it up for 15 minutes and have the dirt and crap recirculate than drain when its warm. (Although it is ideal when it is warm, but not necessary, especially since the time the car sat)
