Default Insane Gas Mileage

Recently my idle control sensor wen dead, so instead of spending $220 to buy a new one, I unpluged the sensor being told that it would cause no harm to the car other than raising the idle to 1500rpm, well lately I've had HORRIBLE gas mileage, whats happening, is it sensor related or is something else happening? There is no other problems, the car still runs amazing, any ideas?

well if its idling higher that means its using more fuel...just spend the money and replace the sensor.

lol... good point though

bboynekro- your only chance to get your idle control sensor back would be to either find a used one or buy a new one. Gas prices are going to skyrocket so i recommend buying one asap. You could look in classifieds or even try ebay to find an ICS for a decent price.

if they knew my mom, they wouldnt do that in the first place. she can get ******* INSANE. she would probably lay them out in a split second; ive thought about seriously telling her to go to anger management, but the consequences of my actions might be too severe
