would this sensor have to do anything with my idle

 

yes it does... when it purges it uses vaccum suction and also messes with your gas tank pressure. Most of the time these are normal things that cause nothing weird to happen. I was having weird idle problems though and i ended up just unplugging the purge solenoid on top of the intake mani and now it went away. has been like that for a year. Dont know too much about the exact system other than it is emmisions equipment designed to burn up fuel vapors left in the tank and manifold and stored in that charcoal tank that turns them into something better... BUT I MIGHT BE OFF A BIT???
