OK i am thinking of buying 1996 accord coupe sir but there are a few probs with it .The AC blows cool air for a while and chips out and comes back in .ANd also the ABS doebst work i think water has caught it. that is rare too.SHOULD I SHOULD I SAY **** THAT CAR???

COuld the ABs be repaired

 

The ABS can be repaired ... but you are probably looking at about $1200 to $1500 to do it. I have a 1994 Accord SW and mine went out. I just did away with it. I disconnected the control unit behind the passenger side kick panel and removed all the fuses in the system. I have never had ABS before and I can live without it.

 

do a flash and see if you can save the abs, if not, i'll say throw it out of the car unless you got mad funds to back you up.

 

i had mine replaced in my 95 ex sedan and it just went again. the dealer even did it and they cant tell mw if its a defect in the car or not. i pulled my fuses and have been driving without it for months. i would liek to remove it but not sur ehow to go about doing it. if its not to hard and u can live without go for it. good luck
