Default 2 Headlight Questions...

I am putting CTR headlights in my 99-00 front end conversion... which btw, will be done tomorrow or wed... I'll hook it up with some pics

My question is there is 3 holes in the back... ones for turn signal, ones for normal bulb, then theres a small hole... whats that for?

also.. i have no bulbs or harness.. i have everything off the car... i have a wire that looks like a plug... like a wall socket... thats all i have for the headlights... what do i need to buy? something that plugs into that that holds a bulb? and how much is HID and whats the most un-blinding, and cheap package? would this just plug into the wires i have?

The small hole is a city light. You need prelude license plate lights for them.

HIDs are now illegal to retrofit onto a car, and the bulbs you need are H4 bulbs (for the actual headlamps)

So I need to get the wire, and the bulbs and where do I splice them into? do they come on low beam or somethin?!

damn.... so now i gotta buy h4 bulbs... and they have the plugs on the end of em?

i have 92-95 civic... 00 front end.. still h4 bulbs?

You're going to have to search for the city light thing,....I don't have any idea how to wire that or even when it is supossed to come on. As for the headlights, the actual headlights are H4 bulbs (also known as 9003s) and will plug into that 3 pronged plug.

they say to wire em in with your corner bulbs... cut the red/yellow from the turn signal bulbs and wire the city lights instead.... so the turn signal bulbs would ONLY BE turnsignals...

wire colors... green is turn signal / red and yellow is parking lights / black is ground...

so you would make your corners only be turn signals... and the city lights would be the ones that are always on with headlights... but in this picture the kid doesnt have headlights on...

what i dont understand is how to turn on your driving lights or parking lights without your headlights on?

That is my friend parker's old car (PKEK on here). What he did was cut the constant power wire from the parking light and ran it to the city light. With it wired like that, the city lights come on instead of the parking lights. So when you turn your light switch one click (parking lights), the city lights come on instead. And yes, they are always on when the headlight is turned on completely.

First click on the lights. Usually just turns on the corner lights and such. I thnk what they are saying is to use the city lights as your driving lights (what the corners would usually do) and only use the turn signals as turns.

Great! thank you... I'm gonna do this mod this week...

the city lights kids from RSVersion come with a little fuse box.. can you just cut that out and run it from bulb, to wire, to splice? cut out all the fuses... and wire right into the corner light harness?

Thanks again!

Why not just get the Prelude license plate light sockets like you were told to do above....That is probably easier and cheaper to do, especially if you have a junk yard around you. If you found those light bulb sockets in a junkyard, they would probably give them to you for free

True. There is a pick and pull about 10 minutes from me. I'll call first and make sure they got one in.

You are going to need 2. One for each headlight.
