Was cleaning up some wiring in my engine bay over the weekend and putting back in some stuff I stupidly removed (like the mounting bracket for the throttle cable) when I got the car and installed my old stereo.

Anyway, came across this bracket and no idea where I took it off of. Anyone know?

Its to mount the front licence plate!!!!!

lol it sure is...it took me a little bit to figure it out(i didnt read your post Chris). then i was like OMG it mounts the licence plate

 

I took that off the day I got my car!!!

 

I was standing in front of the engine bay for a couple minutes trying to hold it up to places to see if it had a function.

My front license plat wasn't even on when I bought the car. It only comes out when I know I'm going to be some place I shouldn't.

Yup, liscense plate mount. I know this because in VA, we are required to have them on, not on the window, not on the side, but in the front bumper. I took mines off anyways. It acts like a stabilizer for the bottom piece of the plate. I took it out and it shaved a second off my 1/4 mile time. Hehehehehehehehehe!!!
