Removing A/C, quick question..
Most of the a/c components were not in the car when I got it. The only thing I can tell that's still in it, that's part of the system, is the evaporator. Never pulled one on a functioning/running car and just wanted to make sure it wasn't needed for any other part of the HVAC system than the a/c. Thanks!
no, if no AC, then you don't need it. You might be able to shell it out by opening it up and pull the evaporator out. But what I did was get the ducting from a Civ or Integ w/ out AC, and replaced the section. But you do need something there to connect the fan to the rest of the hvac system.
ah.. so i can't just pull the big hulking black and white plastic thing out and expect to still be able to use the heat? unless I take it out, remove the evaporator from inside, and then reinstall or something?
there is still a LITTLE bit of heat that comes out of the vents but just barely. i have been meaning to get the duct but have been too lazy. how much does one of those things cost anyway?

so basically, without the duct that surrounds the evaporator, you get no pushed air.. that's why it's just a trickle of heat. got it..
