heres the deal my brothers VTEC will not engage at all, this all coming after switching to K-series oil filter and we went to autozone and got the code -po 1 22-
some said its the VTEC pressure valve and my local shop said its the TPS..and need to because we need to start to figure out the details....

 

The oil filter shouldn't have anything to do with you VTEC not engaging. Because eventually Honda is going to run out of the large oil filters and are only going to put the small ones on. Do you have plenty of oil in your car?

 

yea its has enough oil

 

yeah make sure you have enough oil in your car, and check it before it gets too late....might hear some knocking if you dont check and if youre running on dry oil

 

yes we can no longer get the bigger filters

whats VTEC pressure valve though?

 

code 1 = o2 sensor #1
code 22 = VTEC pressure valve

 

will that be the problem because I got that code whats the Vtec pressure valve do?
