I wonder if my tranny is fucked
Im thinking its on its way.
I'm guessing something to do with the 1st/2nd gear fork or the 1st and 2nd gear syncro. Or both. About half the time, when Im at a stop, and push the clutch in to shift into 1st, it only goes about half way into gear (if I let the clutch out while halfway in gear it will grind horribly and pop it back into neutral). 2nd is just kinda hard to get into. Feels kinda notchy. But 1st is scaring me. Now let me say this, it will not grind unless i let the clutch out when its only halfway in. And the clutch doesnt slip. It seems to not want to go in first all the time. And if it only goes in half way, I can put it back in neutral, let the clutch out, push it back in, and it usually goes in the 2nd time. If not, always by the third, but it rarely takes 3 times to get it in. WTF is up with that?

the 1st gear issue is a common problem..just rock the car a little, and make sure to downshift and revmatch when you slow down.
