Y8 manifold
i did a search and didnt find what i was looking for so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what things do i need to do to my y8 manifold like plugging what holes up and things of that sort to make it fit on my z6 head?
i believe its almost the same as far as hookups are concerned. so there will be no need to plug anything up. you will most likley need a new gasket. i think its basically a straight swap.. bottom line: no crazy surprises.
It depends do you have an auto or manual z6? Also, do you have an auto or manual y8 IM?
If both are auto or both are manual then it should be a direct bolt-on. If they are different, then that is where the work comes into play.
Also, if they are different, then do a search. There is a lot of good information already available on what needs to be done.
welcome to honda-tech.

Will have the mounting holes for the IACV drilled and tapped if Manual.
Will have a smooth area in the same shape but no holes if Auto.

This is on the back drivers side of the manifold.

I definately know how that is. Especially when trying to help someone out with mechanical work. I"ve had people just look at me and go "what the hell did you just say to me?" on more than one occasion.

<----used to give that look.....then got a rather mellow (read: boring) job and spent WAY too much time with internet access and research.
