axles ?'s
Are there any difference in sohc axles for all d-series hydro trannies? I picked up a y8 tranny and currently have a 92 dx tranny right now but will the axles from it work with the y8? Without power tools how long would you guys guess on how long it'll take to put it in?

Re: axles ?'s (junglerunna02)
it took me like an hour and a half to change 1 axle on my car. it was the first time i did it and the only tool i had was a BFH (<- bad idea). the hardest part was getting the ball joint to seperate from the control arm to swing the hub around. if i had to do it again it would only take like half hour. for the axle nut- just get a piece of pipe a few feet long and put it on as a breaker bar kinda thingy- should work no problem.

I can get both axels done in about 45- an hour , if you have all the correct tools and follow procedure Im sure you can get it done it about an hour and half.. Theres a write up on how to do it somewhere.... if you talking about the hole tranny swap it'l take you a little longer

what is the limit on hp/torque for stock b-series axles? need to find out.
Transmission change was fun. took about 9hrs.
1st time. 1hr for axle change? that is nuts. pretty fast there. you can call yourself a honda mechanic.
