Default VTEC activation troubleshooting!

I'm driving a 92 dx hatch with a B18C1 from a 95GSR..The swap has been running fine, the only wires I ran were Knock, and the 2 for the IAB's...I'm pretty sure at this point that VTEC is not engaging. This motor came from an integra I owned that was in an accident, and on the integra, with the exact same setup, just a different exhaust..(Comptech vs. Trust...shouldn't matter) The VTEC crossover at 5800 or wherever was very noticable in sound and feel. Now I hear the IABs(or what I think is the butterflies) at 4500, but no sound or feeling change at 5800ish..Suggestions?

so if I'm hearing a loud change at 4400, that's VTEC...but there is another VTEC change higher up isn't there, same time as the IAB's? 5750 or wherever?

no only one change, vtec at 4400 and then the secondaries, wich kinda sounds like vetc at 5750. maybe you wired the secondaries wrong?

wow I feel dumb, I was always under the impression there were two crossovers, thanks for clearing that up...I thought I remembered seeing 3 sets of specs for cams and whatnot, but I guess I was wrong...anyway, how can I check if my IAB's are working properly?

i did the same swap into my car...

knock sensor - d3
IAB's - just switch a17 and a20
vtec solenoid wire - a4
vtec pressure switch (blk)- ground
vtec pressure switch (red? not the black one) - d6

u will hear and feel vtec @ 4400, then secondaries open at ~5700, you wont really hear anything, just feel it.

first of all, thanks to the other kid for the thread jacking, second....I followed the wiring advice of poison and hatch4ursnatch....so I don't think it's wired wrong, but I did check it out last night, and the IAB's are just always open! So I guess I'm not losing power up top, but I'm losing low-end torque..and definately that explains the gas mileage I've been getting
