Default New FS/WTB Thread rule

Just becuase it's so big and likely people don't go back and clean their stuff up, I want to impose a time limit on FS/WTB posts. So basically any post older than a date gets deleted.

I just want to keep FS/WTB manageable and quick to browse through. I would like to keep the cycle as low as possible, to keep the list 'hot' so that people always go check it out for new stuff.

So please vote on the time limit we should allow for FS/WTB posts in the thread. Personally I think 3 weeks is enough, even 2 weeks. And people are free to post again after it gets deleted.

Okay so I've had everything prior to 3 weeks deleted, I will add this to Nicks forum guidelines. Thanks for the input.

In addition to this new rule, how about we get a 1 or 2 day warning that our post is going to be deleted?

This way, we can save the post and repost it if we still are trying to sell the stuff?

no. that's impossible and I want have to manually warn everyone. Your posts are supposed to be links to classifed threads anyways, so you never lose the 'real' post.

the post will never archive...its a sticky. what if we edit every 2 weeks, saying its still forsale, if we dont it gets deleated.

The actual post in the Classified is still there, but the post w/ the info and links is gone. Yes, we can go back and retype all of the info, but some of us had a lot of stuff!

In my case, I got 10-15 links to go hunt down, copy and paste the links, and then type out a summary of the items.

sorry. we can't trust people to go back and clean up their posts. We are doing you a favour already by having the pots here, at least respect that we have to clean it up.
