Default Changing tires - what a difference!

I didn't realize exactly how badly the Toyo RA-1s were crippling my car until I took them off today to switch back to my "winter" Azenises. Toyo only offers 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 for 16" wheels, so you can't choose a good rolling circumference. I went back to the 215/45/16 Azenises, and dropped the coil overs down since I didn't need them as high with these tires, and the net difference was.... over 1 1/2 inches! The car is finally back down where it belongs, and I have my gearing back!!! Why didn't I do this before Summit? I had at least another second a lap from that alone....

Oh and yours truly, captain dumbass, realized that the rear right brake pad wasn't sitting in the caliper right, which is why I had no brakes for Sunday's race. The pad was at a 45 degree angle to the rotor. Oops.

I guess that's why the wheel was stopped in the "pissing dog" picture?

Well, you have to add the "bookler" formula to that..

Matt, 15" wheels, ITR brakes...

LOL! Sorry Colin. Yeah, this is the result of still having the caliper off the car while they are calling us to grid! I threw that thing back on there WAY too fast. The pad was never in right.
