building a turbo
I am thinking of building a turbo for a 91 si. The problem is I havent even purchased the car yet so obviously I am not familiar with the car. Just so you know I am not some flake posting I have a JRSC GSR and am very in to modifing cars. With that said my question is do you think I could be done for under $1,000. I plan on using a stock eclipse turbo, but I dont know about piping. This will be my second car so I just wanted to do to do it. Any help you could offer would be good.
I hate that Mitsu crap
Anyways, you could piece together a kit that "works" for $1200-1500. Honestly, I`d spend a tad more and do it right. Might save you a rebuild or something in the long run. Also, I`ve been seeing used Drag II kits all over the net for $1500-2k.
Wait a minute, are you boosting the d16 or swapping?

I was planning on boosting the stock motor. If that doesn't work out I would prolly consider a ZC, I really dont want to spend more than $1,000 on mods. I would like to keep focus on my integra.
If you decide to go turbo, your EF project is going to snowball outta control real quick! You gotta remember the motor is already atleast 10 years old. W/ a b16 swap, you`d have a fun car.

As I said I am just looking at my options. Is the b16 as painful as it sounds, I need something reliable and was kinda looking for something easy to do. The more and more I look at things the B16 does sound like a good buy. But I have a sneeky suspicion that it would end up being over $2000.
