where can i find the special tool so that the crank doesn't move when i'm removing/installing the flywheel? price?

 

It should come with a new clutch. Check around at auto parts stores or transmission shops and ask 'em where you can find an clutch alignment tool.

 

i think he means this one. it isnt needed but if you want it is 64.00 on snap ons page.

 

i did a search and found out some people use flatheads and some guy used a battery tie down.

I got somethin similiar to that ...i got it from Honda..the hex doesnt go deep enough for most crank pulleys ....arrrgg

 

just use a open end box wrench,about 17mm.then use 2 bolts,one on the flywheel and one on the block,put the wrench between the 2 bolts.easy for cheezy my sleezy neezy!!

 

just put a ratchet on the crank pulley and have someone hold it....or a flathead in the teeth and rest the arm on a dowel pin

Yep, I've done this soo many times. Make sure you use a pretty big flathead though.

 

I normaly just put a big breaker bar on the pully side and let the ground hold the force when taking em off. Can even do it by yourself. Pretty simple

I do that when the engine's on the ground, but not when on a stand. I guess you could put a big pipe on it still

 

I got one from Summit Racing for like $60

 

Just have someone else hold the crank with a breaker bar and 19mm while you take the flywheel of...Or put the socket on the crank and rest the bar or ratchet so it hits the floor or something so it wont spin...no need to spend $60

 

that tool is for the crank pulley not the flywheel, you can remove the flywheel with a ratchet, impact gun, it is seated with a pin, only goes on one way...no slipping...
