How many replace the tensioner when doing a timing belt?
Hey...
I got a d16z6 that needs a timing belt change... it's got 170k mi. on it...
I don't even know if the tensioners ever been replaced... but even when I tell that to a dealer/parts dept. or honda automotive .com they say don't bother...
That leaves me un-easy. Things gotta go bad eventually right?
Let me know your thoughts.

you should always replace the tensioner and water pump when doing a timing belt... it's a just cuz factor.
yeah I got the pump... but everyone kept saying not to get the tensioner...
Well I guess I'll put it off till I get that too then.
