I have a d15b vtec and the tranny that came with it....what clutch do I need to be looking for?

 

All of the SOHC D series Civic clutches and flywheels from 1990+ are the same.

 

How many HP will Exedy hold? What about Clutch Masters?

 

watch out if u buy exedy- mainly the ones for a hundred bucks off ebay because they are like stock replacements. i got the act hdss in my civic- rated to hold ~225 footpounds tq. im not familiar with clutchmasters clutches...

 

I personally like the centerforce I have in my boosted d. I have been running it for two years under boost with no slipage as of yet.

 

Yeh, I was looking at the eBay ones...you say those are bad? Personal experience?

 

figure out what the model number is that youre looking at and then go the the website of the company who makes it and they will tell you what the HP rating is more importantly tq though

 

i have a 6puck ceramic clutchnet in my '91 Si w/stock pp...shop had no heavy duty.. it grabs like a $2 ***** in T.J. feels like a strong stage II. Clutchmasters is nice ive heard from peeps. i'd go stage 2 or 3 from them if its mostly a daily driver.

 

for the turbo guy, a few reply's up i hope u have a good strong "stock" flywheel, and not a light weight one.. it will shatter
