B16 block, GSR head
If a deal im working on goes through, ill be doing a trade for compete GSR head. I have a b16 block that was just rebuilt, and I was wondering what everyones thoughts are with this swap. It will be a stock motor except for the very basics, so im not worried about the flow-wall the GSR head runs into in high RPM's. I always hear about people doing thier poor-mans, but none the other way around. This will be with the dual stage mani, too

A freind of mine has the setup but with High Compression pistons and Complete head package...Car is ver fast...The GSR head will give you high compression then b16 head will thus giving you more room toi create more power..Just sucks that its a 1.6 block but if its built well you can have yourself a serious little motor that you can rev out really high..higher then LSvtec or Even GSR...Remeber b16s have the perfect R/S Ratio..Just remember to check the piston to valve clearence and clay the motor
With a b16 bottom end and the GSR head, ill have 10.4:1 compression, plus ill be cleaning the block and head with a very slight mill, so probably its safe to assume ill have 10.5:1. The Block has ARP rod bolts on it and will be eqquiped with ARP headstuds, too. I and wondering if its a good idea to keep the GSR dual stage mani on the b16 bottom end. Should help with torque, but I would like more opinions.
