Default gsr b18 into cx hatchback

3 Major Questions:

1. Im not getting VTEC to kick in...could this be due to the check engine light or lack of wiring.

2. Will O2 sensor turn off check engine light

3. Do I have to wire in Knock Sensor, if so How do I do so???

Thanks for any input

It's obvious that your check engine light is on so have you jumped the service connector to see what codes it's showing? If you are using a P72 or any other ECU that has a knock sensor function then YES you need to wire it up or you will have a constant CEL.
If you dropped the motor in and didn't wire anything up, then you'll need to wire up the VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, Knock sensor, IAB and convert to a 4 wire O2 sensor. Don't cut corners, do it right!
