Default Belt Tension?

I had my timing belt replaced at the dealer like a chump only because a Freakin oil seal busted on my way to school (time crunch). This happened the week after winterbreak which sucked even more cus I could of fixed it myself. So, I checked my belt tensions and they are a little too tight. They only bend about 2mm. So I want to take all the belts off and adjust them myself. What has happened if the belts are just lightly hand tight? Is this bad because I can't see anything wrong and you'll only be avoiding busting your bearings.

If they're too loose they'll slip & squeak. So as long as they don't slip, even in the rain, you're OK.
