Who has Good Shock and Spring Setups?
My ITR has 80K miles. I do 90 miles of commuting/day on crappy Mass. roads and 5-6 track events each Summer. I think the stock suspension is tired. Since this is really a daily driver, I don't want to go to coilovers. I don't want to lower the car either. I'm happy turning 1:04s at Lime Rock on the stock setup.
I'm looking for a set up that would give me some adjustablility (compression/rebound) and would be slightly firmer than stock. I don't want my girlfriend to **** and moan about damage to her uterus as we crash over potholes.
I'm thinking of Koni Yellows or KYB AGX with 400# fronts and 300# rears. Does this sound reasonable for my needs? Do the Koni and KYB have really different characteristcs or quality issues? Who's springs are better matched with these shocks? H&R race springs, GC, Skunk2, eibach ERS?
I've been researching the archives but I haven't found a definite answer to this question.
Thanks for your help!

Eibach race springs are real "race" springs and are not progressive. They do require coil-overs. I would go with Koni yellows for your shocks since you can get them for a reasonable price and are very good.
Well, you didn't mention either the spring or shock that I'm currently running in your list of possibilities above, however I certainly recommend the Bilstein Sport shock / H&R Sport spring combination. Of course, the Bilstein's don't have the external adjustability, but for me that wasn't an issue. This set-up is certainly stiffer than stock and rides very well for a daily driver. I haven't had this set-up on a track yet, however, all of my friends with "track" cars using full coilovers have driven my car and are extremely impressed! And the whole package can be had for about $600.

Chris,
Did the Sport Springs lower your car The H&R website says the Sport Springs lower the car approx 1.5 inches.

Paul,
Yeah, the springs definately lowered my car. In addition, the Bilstein's have 2 perches...I put mine on the lowest perch which probably lowered my car an additional 1/4" - 1/2".
I've got 18's on my car right now and the wheels tuck about 1/4" with no rubbing. Overall, it's a great set-up!
Let me know if you have any other questions.
