Default Who has Good Shock and Spring Setups?

My ITR has 80K miles. I do 90 miles of commuting/day on crappy Mass. roads and 5-6 track events each Summer. I think the stock suspension is tired. Since this is really a daily driver, I don't want to go to coilovers. I don't want to lower the car either. I'm happy turning 1:04s at Lime Rock on the stock setup.

I'm looking for a set up that would give me some adjustablility (compression/rebound) and would be slightly firmer than stock. I don't want my girlfriend to **** and moan about damage to her uterus as we crash over potholes.

I'm thinking of Koni Yellows or KYB AGX with 400# fronts and 300# rears. Does this sound reasonable for my needs? Do the Koni and KYB have really different characteristcs or quality issues? Who's springs are better matched with these shocks? H&R race springs, GC, Skunk2, eibach ERS?

I've been researching the archives but I haven't found a definite answer to this question.

Thanks for your help!

Paul

KONI's would be able to ride with higher spring rates...but their expensive...they have this perch that allows it to lower ur ride about another inch...i did research and went to AGX's cause of the price, im not really gonna be autoxing or hardcore racing anytime sooni have skool...AGX and Eibachs make a good beginer combo....intermediate would be KONI yellows, and custom ground control coilovers, advanced is the full coilover systems $$$
