I have a 92-95 civic, with a heavy duty clutch, a springless doul diaphram. And it is really hard to push down on and I keep on breaking clutch master cylinders and release bearings. Is there a proper way to calibrate the clutch pedal so I will stop breaking things? thanks

 

look at the clutch pedal u see a screw if u loos that nut and tight that screw more it will push ur cluch pedal lower

 

ya but is there a proper way to adjust so you are not fighting against the clutch fork?

 

Unless it has air in the lines and you need to bleed it, it's non-adjustable I believe.

 

no it's adjustable, I just don't no how to calibrate it properly...

 

you can only adjust pedal free play and bleed the line. if you look up above the pedal on the clutch there is 2 bolts that you adjust pedal play with .Adjust so there is about a inch or so of free play .if its to tight your clutch will slip in high RPMs.hope it helps.

 

sounds to me like you may need to fix a little more than just adjusting the pedal...
