Will an EG automatic transmission work in an EK?

I've been told that this works, does anyone know for sure if it does? Also, are there any modifications or is it just a direct bolt-on?

Oops, I forgot the most important part. It has to be an automatic transmission.

Well the 5-speed trannies are interchangeable within those years, I don't see why the auto ones wouldn't be....

yea, ive seen a buddie use an eg tranny in his ek cause he needed a **** one to drive around untill his other tranny came in
