ek auto tranny into eg?
I got an eg with a blown auto tranny. I might be picking up a crashed ek that has a good auto tranny. Can I use the EK auto tranny in my EG that is also auto? Will it throw any codes?
EG has a D16Z6, and the EK has a D16Y7.
I know people say that D series transmission are interchangeable, but I just want to make sure.

No, it wont work. The Y7 tranny has numerous extra sensors and solenoids the Z6 tranny doesn't have, it also doesn't use a mechanical kickdown cable like the OBD1 trannys.
