Default Need advice on wheel spacers.

Guys! I need some wheel spacers but dont know which ones to get. Here are what I've found on ebay. Please give me some advice. H&R is nice but they are expensive.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

I have a set of racing hart cp035 15" (4x100) on my 2000 civic ex. The offset of these wheels are small so that they are very "inside" the car body. I want to "bring" them out by using wheel spacer (excuse my english, I suck at it).

I am looking for 25.4mm (1") for the front wheels, and 12.7mm (0.5") for the rear wheels.

Thank you!

optauto.com sells h&r spacers 4x100 25mm for $120 and 15mm for $96. are they any different then the ebay ones? if so, how are they better?

Do you want to buy the spacers for purely aesthetic reasons?

Or do you have a clearance issue?

No, i dont have a clearance issue.

i am not sure how much performance they can give me. so far i am using tein HA, si rear sway bar, neuspeed tie bar, and neuspeed tower bar. i am very concern about performance. definitely performance over looks.

1 inch is A LOT of wheel spacing. even if you were able to find a 1" block, i wouldnt recommend it. thatll be like 15-20 offset, when normal is 40-45. the ebay ones you found on ebay are 8mm, which would be more than enough to bring the wheel out towards the fender edge.

8mm is ok for the rear.( i measured all of them and made sure that they wont rub the fender well after i bring them out). But the front wheels are really too "inside" the car body-----1 in" exactly. Since the car shop ordered the wheels for me so that i didnt have a chance to select the right offset.

well, i think at least 20mm for the front wheels.

its not the amount of spacing needed to get to the fender that im worried about. having 1" of wheel spacing is a lot which then requires 1 longer wheels studs, then means youre fastening the wheel further from face. all of which i dont recommend. could cause failure and bad wheel bearings. i would find the right offset wheels.

at the time i bought the wheels these were the last set available(in winning gold color) because they were hard to find. i didnt check the offset. unlike the buddy club sf i had before, i think the buddy club was about 32 or 34 and they were doing fine.

yes, tyson, i know what you mean. i read the older posts from search and know that too large a offset will damage the bearing and axle. but you really think 25mm is too larger? what about 20mm? i am sure that i can still fasten my wheels well.

Not with a big *** spacer you wont.

And you will need to pull the hub out (new wheel bearings) to pull the studs out and replace them with longer ones.

And even then, you *may* see accelerated wheel bearing wear. It may also **** with your scrub radius.

Are you autocrossing or tracking the car?

yes, i do. it measures from the inside of the wheel where it touches the wheel stud, and measure how wide it is away from the wheel stud------ah! i cant explain it in english, but i do know what it is.

Then why the F$@$! do you need spacers if you dont even know what the offset is and how they will fit????

Dont be a retard. Take it to autocross, take it to the track. Dont need alot of money in the car to have fun there... just add decent tires and brake pads, leave it stock.

You might end up like this guy.
