Alright so I'm brand new...
I'm looking to buy a 95-97 Integra GS. Not GS-R, cos I don't want to get it stolen, and a coupe is already enough insurance rapage for me.
I want to do the standard bolt-ons: CAI, Headers, Catback, Exhaust. Then I want to turbo it. Maybe 10PSI. I want about 250HP. Can that be done? Can I make it faster than a stock 04 RSX Type-S? And an 04 V6 Solara?
Thoughts? Will insurance find out about the turbo and kill my premium? What do you guys think?

Okay. Obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about!
Forgive me. I prolly sound like a stupid ricerboi. I really am new to cars in general. Forget that I said the 10PSI thing, and 250HP to the front two wheels is pretty out of the question too, eh?
What can I make a GS go fast? Anything? Thanks..

Search around in the forced induction forum. 250whp is completely attainable, but I would do some research before you purchase anything. For example, you can't have a header and a turbo. Or a CAI. Learn the basics of how a turbo setup works. Also, consider upgrading your suspension and brakes first. This is a good place to start while you're learning the basics of boost. Good luck.

250HP isn't really out of the question! It won't be easy, but it's definately possible.

If you get a GSR, you can shave the labels, get rid of anything that seperates a GSR (except the engine obviously). and then put it in the garage. you'll be safe. its all about how you take care of it. your GS has the potential of getting stolen aswell.
250whp is very attainable, just search through the forced induction forum and spend some time there. Notice i said search and spend time there. Learn the basics and what its really all about before you go thinking about it. I don't think they will be too interested in one of your posts if you have no clue what your talking about. So just beef up your knowledge by browsing and using the search function
. Once you've attained the knowledge then ask the questions you want answered.
If you want turbo, don't go wasting your money on a CAI or Header (as stated above). Just save up your money. Its going to cost quite a bit. Especially if you want to build up your internals.
You shouldn't have a set amount of PSI fixed into your head right now. You don't even know what setup you are running, what size turbo you'll have, or anything else.....just be patient and learn as you go. We were all in your shoes one day, so we know how it feels, just ask your questions and read as much as your eyes can take.
goodluck and welcome to the site

You won't buy headers, you'll buy a header. Yes it can be faster than an RSX-S and a Solara.
(I'm guessing you have friends or know people with these cars you want to beat?)

Boy do i love it when i read posts when people dont know what the hell they are talking about. My STOCK b18b lasted 2 years on boost 10-12 psi daily, it had perfect compression up to the day it got stolen.
oh yeah, w/ my smaller turbo setup, it made 270 whp at 10.5 psi w/ a small greddy exhaust.

Alright thanks for all the posts.
I've been browsing the FI forum, but there's not really that's for complete n00bs. I know nothing about turbos except they use the exhaust to wind up a turbine to stuff more air into the cylinders. Right?
That's about it. A lot of you say that I should go with the GS-R. There are two main reasons I don't really want to do that. First, the insurance premium would be higher than an RS/GS. Second, they're really hard to find and $$$.
What's the difference between the RS/GS and the GS-R? The GS-R has a different engine? It has Vtec?
If I install a turbo on a GS, wouldn't it be faster than a GS-R? Would insurance find out about the turbo and jack my rates sky high?
What would one do to a GS to make it fast? Faster than a RSX-S, and a V6 Solara. Would a car like this last long? Or die after a few years?

Essentially, yes. I could maybe suggest you register at http://team-integra.net and browse the articles. Theres one about turbo basics that you might find useful.

Yes. VTEC, and maybe some creature comforts (leather, sunroof, etc.) 140hp vs. 170hp.

Insurance won't find out about it. Of course, if the car is stolen or wrecked, you won't get money for your mods. And yes, it'll be faster than MOST GSRs.

Turbo. It will last as long as it's tuned properly. Tuning is the key to longevity with boosted motors. See the link I posted above.

I have a 96 teg with a stock jdm gsr (sig) motor, drag 3 kit, 12:1 fmu, 310's, missing link, vafc, and 255 hp fuel pump. at 6 psi, i put down 260 whp and around 180 torque.
you having b18 boosted at 10 psi, you should be good and over 250 whp
you can definatly make it faster than a rsx and a solara. your insurance shouldnt find out unless you tell em.
just to let you know, save your $$$, dont buy a cai, header, or catback. save all that $$$ for a turbo kit, upgrade your fuel, and get a cutout for your exhaust.

04 Solara's my friend's new toy. Mom drives an SUV, so there will be no problem about that lol.
Thanks for all the links! And I've heard from many places that the GS-R is rated as a "sports car" where the GS is only a lil coupe..
//edit: lol is than an air conditioner.
Okay I read the sites you guys sent me. Very helpful. But one of them talks about building my own turbo. That scares me downright. I don't even know how a car WORKS, only how to drive one. Hell, I'm afraid of changing the oil of one lol. Is a kit a stupid idea? It may be more expensive, but I can pay somebody to install it for me, right? Or can I do the same building my own?
And how much would it cost to "tune my motor" for longetivity, and let it be able to take 8-10PSI and make 250WHP?

Raziel if you are new to cars, there are a couple books you can buy from Amazon.com.
One of my favorites is "Honda/Acura Engine Performance", by HPBooks. It introduces you to the basics of cars and general principles, and slowly works you into block parts, head parts, standard bolt-on's and their characteristics, as well as eventually working into crazy motor swaps, LS/VTEC swaps and frank setups, as well as Forced Induction, including turbos, superchargers, and nitrous. I starts off as if you know nothing about cars, which you basicly said you didn't, and gives you very worthwhile information. After you soak up all 160 pages of that, you can start on "The High-Performance Honda Builder's Handbook, Volume 1". It explains topics in deeper detail, and explains incredibly advanced topics, like porting and polishing heads, fabricating piping, etc.
If you read these books, you should be able to better choose what car is better for you. **** thieves man, don't let lifeless ****** influence your choice of vehicle, I bet if you get a GS instead of a GSR you'll regret it bigtime. Shave the emblems and get rid of the wing and there will be no way to tell the difference. And even if you did disguise it, thieves have hardons for Tegs in general, no matter what model, they'll take it.

Ahmen to that! people dont believe everything people tell you...with the right setup and fuel management 10psi is very possible.
