Default Can an open diff. tranny hold slicks?

I went to the track last weekend with just air downed azenis. All i could ever get was one wheel spin. I was wondering if my tranny could hold slicks because i want to throw some on but don't want o break my differential. I don't want all the power to go to one wheel with slicks and overstrain the diff. causing it to break. I am currently looking for a cable lsd tranny if anyone has one. Just let me know about you guys' experiences with non-lsd tranny and slicks. Thanks.

i dont think you will have a problem a lot of my friends are using some big turbo slicks on their cars with open diff. trannys and havnt had a problem. i can see axle breaking before the diff. just my opinion though.
