Default Help Turbo ef project b16. needs ideas. look!

hey guys i got a b16a crx 91. hasport moutns. and we are in the process of installing a greddy turbo kit right now. the lower cross member is in teh way. could we cut half of it off? and weld some supportss to it? i cant afford a new cross member right now. thanks.

yes .. you pretty much have to .. my friend did it to his so he could fit the down pipe in there .. most people do that if they dont by a new CM .. good luck ... OH! .. start with cutting the lip off first, its better to cut less then more

Why don't you try making a new downpipe. You can probably buy the flange and weld 3" or so pipe to it positioning it wherever you want. PM or IM me if you need furthur ideas.

you cant try hacking into it a little instead ocutting it completely? I hacked into mine w/ my d16 turbo. but if you have to cut the whole thing in half then maybe you should consider a custom downpipe from an exhaust shop or something.

yep i am currently having a custom dp made right now. no hacking will be done. thanks guys.
