you can get either one. if you want thermal, they sell it with 3" piping. but if you wanna go N1, you will need custom 3" piiping, then just buy the N1 muffler by itself, but make sure you get the N1 that has 3" not the regular one.

as long as the muffler itself also has 3" opening, i dont see any reason why performance would be significantly different.

Depending on the type of muffler you use (straight through, chambered) you may lose a bit of power, but I wouldnt even give it a second thought.

I say go thermal w/ 3" piping. the sound sexy on boosted cars, not that it matters.

i also agree
the thermal 3" is sooo nice and on boosted cars even better ... and it wont attract the cops as much as an N1....
but it is up to you @
good luck and have fun

I say both are great exhausts and the N1 has smaller piping more for NA cars and Thermal you can get 3" for boost. Both of them sound good on their applications.

i've driven a turbo LS with the thermal exhaust and was very impressed, not that its too hard when yer boosting anyways....... but the exhaust tone, along with the feeling of a smooth power delivery leads me to say get the thermal r&d, but then again i've never tried the same setup with an N1 muff.
