Q: Automatic transmission differences?? (B-series)
I have a newbie question, 'cuz I don't know squat about automatic transmissions on Integras. (All my 7 Hondas had/have been 5-speed.)
1. Are there any differences from different model year integras? (i.e. DA vs. DC).
2. Any differences in the tranny between trim levels? (i.e. RS, LS, GS)
3. Can you swap in a newer tranny from '01 DC LS into '93 DA RS??
4. Is there a "good" year auto tranny? What about "bad"?
TIA for your help.

Hey Sean. Wish I could help, but I know even less than you. Have you tried talking to Yack? Trey C.? Those two might be able to help you out.
Sweet!! I have a question that no one knows (so far)!
If someone can answer this question in detail, I'll send them CND $1.00 via paypal.

1. Not sure, but the gearing has a very very small difference.
2. There are no differences in auto trannys between trim levels.
3. Not sure either, but seems like it would fit since your switching between B-series. The DA chassis is different from the DC chassis so maybe it won't bolt right on.
4. I would go the newest tranny that would fit because I have heard of Integra auto trannies not shifting properly after high miles of use. For example, my friend had a 91 auto integra w/ over 100,000 miles and it would not shift out of 1st gear until it was warmed up. It took like 20-30 minutes before it would start shifting properly. I have a automatic w/ 66,000 miles on it and it still shifts fine, but not as smooth as it was when it was new.
