cheap gsr

Default cheap gsr

i found a gsr motor at a junk yard.. it is only motor and tranny for 2500.. it is out of 2001 gsr and only has 14,000 miles on it.. what do you guys think?? it was in a car fire but the fire never got into the engine bay but it got the ecu and wiring harness.. i have a 98 civic ex 5speed and i ws told i can convert my harness to go for it is this true?? what should i do?

Does the car start? Are you able to do a compression test?

Thats a decent price for a motor you know has that low of miles.

well they said that if it doesnt work or anything is wrong with it they will refund my money.. suprisingly enough they are taking payments from me for the motor.. all sensors are still intact as well..

Yep, good deal. Why can't you have the axles or ecu? Have they already been picked off?

Id get it, even if the fire the harness that wounldnt have an effect on the motor.. pretty lucky especially considering they're gonna take payments

it was burnt in the fire.. so i might just get the skiunk 2 computer.. i am proly gunna convert it to obd1

why do you want to waste money on a Skunk2 ECU why not get a chipped p28, trust me you will love it.

i wouldn't got for it cuz u can get a long block gsr for about 1700 and i would be worried about if it got to the ecu that it went threw the harness and fried all he sensors or alot of them

well i got the guy down to 2200 .. and i found out my wire harness can be used for the motor as well as my sensors.. so i think im going to go for the motor.. plus he said if the motor is fucked up he will give me all the money back
