dissapointed w/ H&R's
I put them on today and my car sat alot higher than my pro kits so I put the eibachs back on. I don't know what happened. It looked horrible. I didn't cut the bumpstops at all but I don't know why that would have anything to do w/ how high or low it sits. I installed them w/ AGX's. Haven't got a chance to drive it yet because we snapped on of the bolts that goes through the control arm. I am very dissapointed because I thought the H&R sports were supposed to go lower than pro kits. Did I do something wrong?
are you sure that you put the correct springs in the front/rear...they are set for differant weight tollerances...since the motor is up front...the taller ones would go up front
Yo, that sucks dude. I had the same problem with mine. It just didn't look all that much lower to me either. That's why I am going with coilovers next. My friend just got Neuspeed springs put on his HX and the **** looks slammed!
I originally had H&Rs on my eg2 and it didn't sit very low at all. Basically, H&Rs firm up the ride and handling characterisitics but maintain that 'ambiguously lowered' look that some people prefer. They serve their purpose well, but are definitely not for show. In the end, I just went with Ground Controls. . .

Not to be a pest, but my H & R Sport Springs sits a bit lower than I wanted, when I switch from stock shocks to Tokico.
Back to your situation, you need to let the springs settle a bit. If you installed it correctly, the H & R should be fine.

Which H&R's did you get.. sport or race? I went from stock to race and it sit's beautiful to me. My race springs came with a sheet explaining if I cut the bump stops 1/2"... it would give me an extra 1/4" drop but a rougher ride. I currently have a 1.5 finger gap around the wheel well in front and back on my EG h/b. Also once I put the springs on... drove it around the block, the car sat a little lower, but hasn't changed in 2yrs.
I got the sports which are advertised to sit lower than the pro kits but the sports were noticeably higher. Oh well, guess it's time to look for new springs.
The sports lowers from 1.5-1.8", you should've gone with the race. They sit low enough that it looks good... and also lets me get over speed bumps and other things without a problem. If you want to get something in between the sport and race... go with the Eibach Sportlines,... honestly you'll be happier with the ride quality from the Eibach's... and within a couple months of daily driving the Eibach's will settle in a little lower.

yeah i dont understand why you didn't get sportlines. pple think prokits are lower than sportlines for some reason. nope. i dont know if you thought this but any way get sportlines it will sit with maybe 1.5 or 2 fingers inthe fender.
best bet for cheapness is jus the GC coil overs. they come with eibach springs.

I knew sportlines were lower but chose to go w/ pro kits the first time. I wanted a lower stance and I thought the H&R sports(1.8F, 1.6R) would be just what I needed. I don't know if I was sent the wrong spring, maybe OE sports. The part number on the springs matched the sports though. When I put them on it didn't even look like it was lowered at all. Hopefully I can return them and get my money back.
if you haven't been able to drive the car then it is probably just the messed up suspension geometry causing the car to look like it is not lower. when you jack up the wheels off the ground they will hang crooked and a lot of times when the car is put back down on the ground the wheels will stay that way until you drive for 30 feet or so. i have actually felt the whole car setttle down after this. if you have driven the car aleady and are still having this problem than i am not suer.....but this could be it if you havent moved the car yet. good luck.

sorry to bring back old news. but in case you want to go really ******* LOW and handle great. save for the H&R super low civic coilovers. MY friend is running them on his ITR (with rear control arm civic conversion) and i dont think he is dissapointed with the height. :D

Here's what they look on my EG when I still had the 195/55's, now that I have the right size 195/50... it sits a little lower, but I still need to replace my struts to get the better ride back...BTW those are the race springs.
