Default best way to tune a b16?

hi,

donīt really know what to do with my b16.

iīve heard that it would be a good idea to put in the b17 crank. is that true? what else must/shoud i change?

it should be cheap, reliable and for a daily driven/weekend road race car.

Thanks

Sure. For the specific class' I'm running I have to keep the stock block and head that came with the car. So the build up I'm doing this winter consists of a B17A crank, Crower B17A rods, Arias 85mm 12.6:1 pistons and RS 85mm sleeves. So basically a 1.85L. Compression will actually be about 13:1 w/ flat valves, mild resurfacing and the Cometic 85mm head gasket I'm using is like .004" less then stock. Portflow head and a stage 2/3 cam something with around 12-12.5mm lift and around 260-280 duration or so. Haven't decided on cams or valvetrain just yet. It'll make good power.
