Default so i buy an ls vtec ek the headgasket is blown HELP!!!

ok heres my problem
i bought this ek i dont have it yet but i test drove it today it was fine till i REALLY BLEW THE GASKET and then all this white smoke comes out of my exhaust yes its coolant but like water wouldnt it hydro lock its still at the shop waiting for me to pick up and change the gasket now is it safe for me to drive the ek home at low rpms and how do i get rid of ALL THE SLUDGE i did a search and it said i needed to drain oil pour new oil in and it should be ok but this is the thing if i drain the oil tomorrow and pour the new oil back in i'd get more coolant going in so ima have to change it when i get home anyhow. it was also said i should get some engine flush http://www.valvoline.com/pages...ct=29
my first problem is how to get it home, is it safe to drive? its only 3 miles from my house, second is im going to change headgasket, third is how do i make take out every last bit of sludge crap that was in the engine ?
