Default OMG.. my lugnut is stuck!

ok, today i was putting on my new si rims.. i started with the front and worked my way to the back.. i was about to put in the last one (rear/right) and one of the lugnuts was stuck so i put the lugnut remover thingie on it and used my foot to try and loosen it up.. then all of a sudden the lugnuts was in the middle and it turns.. but it won't tighten nor loosen.. it's somewhat stuck in the middle.. how can i get this lugnut off?!! btw, would it be safe drivin around w/ only 3 lugs?

you will probably have to break the stud off/get a new stud pretty soon. next time torque down properly, or don't let shops torque down to tight. I broke two like that. Also it won't hurt to ride around on 3 studs for a while till you get another one, especially in the back

i have a problem with people that torque down lugs they do it on the ground and they don't get a proper seat to the hub and that leaves them to move around a little bit and i don't trust that anymore. My wheel fell off in front of my house the other day and fucked up my fender from getting improper seat on it so do it up in the air with teh car in gear and the E brake engauged. don't half *** on stuff like that because that is the lifeline of your car.

A lugnut? Or a new stud? Neither is all that expensive. Especially since you only need one.

dude tighten it back up...chances are its rust/dirt in the way...just get some WD-40 or simple bolt loosener and squirt it all over the nut til its drenched ....haha

then wipe it clean, and spray it again then loosen it.

keep us posted bro.

He said it turns but doesn't tighten or loosen. It just spins freely. He got it loose.

studs are cheap and very easy to install. while you're at it buy a canister of anti-seize.

you may be able to replace the stud yourself. you definitely can if you can pull the hub. i had to bring mine to the shop
