Talk to John from Rpiracing, or better know as composiMO. If I can recall correctly he had a pic that faded in and out, the first pic was with hasport mounts, then it faded to hcp mounts.

i can tell you that with my hcp mounts the intake manifold is pretty far from the firewall and really close to the front crossmember. Also the engine sits pretty damn low.

I've got the "new" Hasports. They're really nice, and I personally think that they are great. They angle the motor forward, and about dead center in the engine bay. All billet, and some nice thick/hard bushings. Good stuff.

I used HCP mounts on my B18A1 swap.. The engine was angled forwards alot and sat low. My 4-2-1 header bashed the ground alot, and also, the engine was angled at such an angle that i had to get the header bent to line up with the exhaust. has anyone else had this problem??

i pretty much have the same issues as you, except for the angle of the header bendt. if you bought your header used, it was probably bendt! i hate it when my header jits the ground, it makes me really mad

I have hasport mounts and my header did not bolt directly up to my exhaust either, but I really did not think about the mounts being the problem. I always thought my exhaust was not sitting right.

I did... and for everyone else, here is the fading pic... now, it is showing the difference between the HASport mounts, and the Place Racing mounts, not HCP...

Click to open in new window, and allow it to fully load (56k be warned)... it fades in and out fast enough for you to sort of see what the differences are:

Hope that helps some of you

from what i can see, the picture fades from the place racing mounts to the hasport mounts. hell of adifference, i haven't seen the hcp and place racing mounts on side by side cars, do they differ from one to the other on how the engine mounts on the car? john, thankx for posting that picture
