Oil pan install.....
do not tight to much use some Honda bond or sealer to keep the gasket in correct place.. torque to the specs I am think 15-19ft make sure u tight the bolts like in right order
what kind of sealer should you use on engine gaskets? i've seen ATV stuff at pep boys but is there any specific kind? and can it be used all around the engine? also should it be used all over on both sides of the gasket.
Lots of dumb questions but i would appreciate it
Thanks,

You should double check a Helms or Chiltons for order and torque ratings (I'm not near mine). But you start in the middle of the pan and work inside out, alternating from front to back. If you just went around in a circle or randomly, you would tighten it down unevenly and cause a leak.

Hondabond or the grey Permatex RTV (same stuff) is fine. If I recall correctly, you don't need or want to do it around the whole perimeter of the oil pan. Only where a curve and flat part create a corner, kinda like the way you do on the valve cover if that makes any sense... So in this case a little around both sides of the gasket on the end where the oil pump is and the opposing side (the semi-circle parts).

it is rather a easy job took me no more than an hour. also they may be some oil sluge on the bottom of the pan if so wipe it out with a rag or a towel so it is nice and clean
