Default Oil Pan Gasket

Got a new one today. Do I have to put sealent on the new one.. I know it has to be all clean. Got it from Honda. Thanks

nope.
just put it on as-is and without sealant.
be careful to torque it down to spec in the proper sequence.

What are the TQ specs? 13lbs?

How much was it BTW? What engine?

I need a new oil pan so I'm going to go pick up a gasket soon.

I got my gasket for $18 and I used a little bit of sealant on it and torqued it down, works good no leaks

I'm not doubting you owen, however what sealant can be used? I've always seen sealant on my pans...

I got mine for 19.00. And does anyone know what page on the 92-95 Helms the oil pan page is. So I can get the correct bolt pattern and torq spec.

I didnt use any sealant and its fine.
