ok so i have a 92 cx hatch, with a vx motor in it, when i got it, it hesitated really bad in every gear except first, i was told i needed to run a p07 ecu and not the p05 i was running, i got the p07 but it still does the same thing and now the check engine light comes on evertime i start the car up...ive also been told i might need soem sort of box by the firewall for vacumm lines, my friend has this box and its not hooked up to anything cuz he did a gsr swap the lil ****** haha...does neone have any clue about the "box" or any idea wat it could possibly be??

 

why the hell would you put a VX motor in as a replacement. any ways (trying hard not to flame)

CEL light on start up is because the vx ecu u are using is looking for vtec and you probably dont have that hooked up. also u proably running a single wire O2 sensor and u need the VX 5 wire. and for the VX motor u need that black box for vacuum lines thats probably causing your hesitation.

 

I could of swore I saw this same question.. Your prob getting code 12 for EGR. You need to install the Control Box unit for it to work right.
