People with LS/VTEC setups please read(question on ECU tuning)
I'm getting an LS/Vtec built and I'm having trouble deciding what to do concerning the ECU. I know that ideally I should go with a Hondata stage 2 or similar, but I don't really want to spend the extra money.
This car is basically my daily driver and I want feedback on what people are running(ECU) and how they like it.
I know someone who makes chips, and he said for good power I should chip my P28 ECU with a skunk2 program. Is this a good idea for an LS/Vtec with ITR pistons and stock(B16A) cams. Also at what RPM should I set Vtec.
Any info whatsoever is very much appreciated

I've seen some dynocharts comparing stock ecu to the hondata system, but I'm curious to know if their is a big difference between a chipped ecu and the hondata.
from what i have read and been told the uberdata system is very simular to the hondata system, but as of write now it does not offer the digital dash, datta loging, and thare or only a couple 3bar ready uberdata system floating around.. i went with uberdata mainly b/c it was free
My motor has run a chipped P28 with Skunk2 program since it was built. I found with my stock B16 head that the best VTEC point was 5000.

I strongly suggest to use the Hondata. My friend EF LSvtec uses one and its been good for him. He is a daily driver w/ toda stg 3 cams. I myself run a hondata in my DC2 but i use the s100 and i use a p72 computer.
