Ok heres the story. About 2 months i was pulled over becasue i heard something clanking around under the hood. I open it up to find that the circular clamp that holds the filter to my short ram intake had cracked and my filter was completely off, resting on a hose below the intake. now i didnt have any way to attach it back on there until i got home because it just kept falling off, and it was raining pretty heavily. i also went through some pretty large puddles (there was just no way to avoid them unless i wanted to swing over into on coming traffic). Ok now heres my question. the next day, after i got everything fixed i drove it and everything seemed to be fine and i continued not to have any problems for like 3 weeks. then like 7 days ago it started to run kinda slugglish at times for no apparent reason, not all the time, just sometimes. Could this have anything to do with the intake incident? if water had gotten in the engine or some kind of debris went in there would it have started messing up right away, not 3 weeks later? i know this may be confusing but thankas for the help

PS: its not idling rough, im not having trouble starting it, it just seems more sluggish than usual sometimes

New cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires and oil change and you'll be right as rain.
