sohc turbo size with 250whp goal
I am bulding a d16 and i have a goal of 250whp. I was looking at a T3/T04E 50 trim wheel .50 A/R compressor housing with eather .48 or .63 A/R turbine housing . What would be best. Any other options for good size turbo for my goal?
My SC50 which is a 50 trim T3/T4 with a .48/.60 is supposed to be efficient to over 400 whp so i think a .48/.60 exhaust side with a .60 compressor side would be plenty efficient for your hp goals.
I just chose a .48 cause i wanted some better spool times, on my d16y8

T3 Super 60 or a 60 trim will be perfect for 250whp....i made 200whp @ 6psi on my 60 trim.....the turbo will probablly be at its limit at 300hp or so, but if your goal is 250whp you wont be sorry with the t3....it spools about 3500 and pulls very hard on top....great turbo for the d16, another would be a t28 its a very nice turbo and will work very well on a d16......the t3/t4 50 trim or sc50 are to big and they spool late and just not efficent street turbos for the smaller d16...but for your goal a straight t3 would be perfect
thanks for all the helpful input. t3/t04s are cheaper than t3s so that is why i was looking into them. what is a good place to buy turbo's?

I would definately go with the t3 super 60, and as a matter of fact, I know a guy in in Memphis has one in good condition for sale, as I have seen it. Pm me if you are interested.
