i have a 90 civic hb..and i just found out that my ecu is throwing code 1 and 16 which is o2 sensor and fuel injection...my car idles very high, and everytime i press on the gas..it feels shakey when i accelerate but is fine when the car is cold. any help would be appreciated..i'll try to get more in detail tonight on whats wrong on my car..
I had both those codes at the same time in a 1989 Base model and had to replace the map sensor. Swap with a known good Map sensor first and then go from there. OBD0 ecus are very dumb when they throw codes because your engine isn't running correctly. Sometimes you have to think for them. Also check your o2 sensor and make sure it isn't loose, if you end up needing an O2 sensor go with an NTK=OEM what Honda uses.
BS, OBD0 ecus are very dumb in comparision to OBD1 on up. Yeah it should work that way but listen to this last LS swap I wired up for DX-MPFI swap it triggered all the powered sensors such as TA sensor, TW sensor, anything that was powered by GR/WH. The problem was with the aftermarket Distributor OEM style they hooked up the wrong wire colors to the wrong sensors internally and it had nothing to do with my wiring harness or those sensors only the TDC sensor was incorrectly wired in the distributor. I hooked my distributor from my CRX Si up to it, held it up to the motor and it started right up code free. MAP and O2 deal with the same paramaters in determining fuel mixture. Map sensor in my 1989 base went out and it tripped o2 and occasionally after resetting would trip the fuel injecter code. So you can think what you want obd0 is very dumb logically, you sometimes have to think for it, OBD1 you don't even have to try and crank the car over and it tells you what is wrong with the itself.
