Default Turbo on a d16 and then moved to a k20 swap????

Turbos are interchangeable between cars right? All you need to do is put the turbo on a new exhaust manifold that will fit a different motor? I want to put a turbo on my d16 but i want to later be able to put in a k20 swap in my ek. Do you think i would be able to put the turbo from my d16 on a k20? I figured i could use the turbo d16 untill i have saved enough money for a k20 and than when i sell the d16 just reuse the turbo. What do you guys think?

You can swap the turbo over. You will need a manifold that is compatible with the motor, and the mounting flange on the exhaust housing of the turbo. (ex. T3 manifold with a T3/60-1, etc...).
