Heres the first prototype. This hasnt been touched by us AT ALL, except for the head flange, which we had to drill/face so that we could mount it and get the correct turbo positioning from the crossover pipe. So, heres the pics, some good, some bad. Tell me what you all think!

I couldnt believe how awesome the collector area turned out! Absolutely impeccable.

well, its pretty much IN production. We want to get at least a couple tests to make sure the thing actually works(I cant see how it wouldnt)

around 25lbs...same as my other manifolds. This is just ductile iron too, to keep costs down for the prototypes. By the looks of these pictures, the crossover tube needs to be redesigned, because that radiator looks a lil tighter than I like. What do you think? With this manifold, youll have to splice in a bit of metal anyway....I need some feedback!

man, it looks like u'd be melting rad hoses! Also, that "extension" piece looks kinda funky with that big square on it where it mounts to the mani.. any chance that is going to be made smaller or something?

yes, we will probably go with a smaller circle flange, or maybe even a t3 style, long and skinny. notice the "SOOOO close." Doesnt mean its done, just alot closer than in August

oh, u didnt say hoses, u just said metal... now i get it. I know they arent done yet, thats why i asked if that part was going to be changed. Anywho, that thing looks great! I cant want to see the final production
Its looking good so far.. I don't wanna sound negative but I'm not sure what your goal is in making it? at first I thought it would be the same as your sidewinder but this is alot different. It really looks like an upside down inline pro with a long extension on it. Will you be doing some performance tests before you go into production? Again I don't mean to sound negative.. I'm just curious what market your shooting for? Performance? Cost? AC?

we will have flow #s very soon, I can assure you, each runner will flow VERY well.
The goal was to have an AC compatible manifold that could EASILY fit a 3 inch downpipe, and that would ALSO support large amounts of power, all while having virtual ZERO backlog(me, who is booked past thanksgiving on welded tubulars).
This will flow virtually no differently than any of my other manifolds, despite the cross over pipe coming from the collector. The cylinders dont fire all at once, so where is the restriction? Based on what Ive seen so far(and blown with the air compressor
), the turbo is the resriction, which is exactly what you want!
Now, for the cracking and falling off comment. If the manifold is not braced, it probably will. BUT, each manifold will come with a brace, as well as a radiator hose bybass. The brace will bolt to the turbine housing, and then to the transmission(the factory chain link bracket is either replaced/or paired with the brace).
The next MAJOR goal of this manifold isto produce a complete kit, which will be available by spring of '04.
