Default horrible limp mode

the setup is a d15b2 bottom y8 head

the problem is its in limp mode and i dont know where to begin diagnosing.
the car runs. NO CODES. it feels like there is no power after 5k. i had a friend of mine do the timing he said it was fine. fpr and guage are there and i am still running rich. spark plugs are fouling. ( bad o2 sensor???) what are the symptoms of valve leakage?? and a blown headgasket?? it doesn't over heat. help please.
thanks in advance ~!

If it feels like it's dropping in power at 5k maybe your vtec isn't working and you're stuck on the small lobe? How is it set up? What ecu etc.

when its in limp it will run rich, limp mode is a safe mode thats why its running rich and will mess with your o2, with my b16 I have two diff limp modes one is a severe one that wont let vtec kick in and the other one just sucks power say if an egt sensor is disconnect, all throw a check engine light though. also when i blew a headgasket it seemed fine other than a small amount of smoke, it showed up on the oil though. also try to have someone running a cylinder leakage test, it will show if anything is wrong, ie vavle leaking, rings, headgasket, and so on.
