I just got a brand new gas tank installed, my old one got dented because i guess I must have hit something..Well after picking it up and starting it, my idle is acting funny. After reving the car, the rpm would come down at hit 100rpm and act like its about to die, but it doesn't. This is only when car is not moving. Im in the process of resetting the ecu...any suggestions

actually it was my buddies body shop, its installed perfectly because his friend is a Acura Tech...it had about 2 gallons in there before i filled it up
I'm thinking fuel filter, crimped fuel or return line, or something's up with the fuel pump or electrical connections to it.
I wouldn't have replaced the tank unless ... it was really smashed, or had a hole in it!

it was smashed and dented i could only get 6 gallons on it....Im assuming the fuel lines and pumps are fine because the gas tank is totally at "F"..if it was smashed i dont think the meter would of read a full tank.....any other ideas???
Hmm ... 6 gal.
Yeah, I'd have changed it too!
Replace the fuel filter in the engine compartment, might have been lots of crud in the tank that would then have ended up in the filter. JMHO Ed

I had mad problems trying to remove my fuel filter. The very last bolt I couldn't get. I didn't want to bend the fuel line going to it so I called it quits and am saving it for another day. But is there some speical method to remove that last bolt from the fuel line to the bottom of the filter?

In the engine compartment, up on the firewall just to the left of center (or so).
You can also find it by tracing back the fuel line from the fuel rail on the intake manifold (where the injectors are).

Fuel starvation at higher rpm-it feels like you are running out of gas. Because in essence, you are. The fuel filter is next to the battery on the firewall, BTW, and the best way to remove the bottom fuel line to the filter is with a 14mm line wrench.

fuel filter is the size of a can of coke, on the fire wall. look at your fuel rail then follow it towards the fire wall.

so u guys are saying during the gas tank install the line was pinched so its causing a dropping idle. Is this a easy fix?? or I should bring it back to them.....the car literally acts like its going to die but it doesnt, only when the rpm is dropping it will hit 100rpm and pull back up.....or should this be a timing issue BUT i dont see any reason why a gas tank install would cause the timing to go off...im confused

No, we're saying your fuel filter probably needs to be replaced.

well it could have been a damaged fuel pump....
they do touch the bottom of the fuel tank
and you would think if your tank only held 6 gallons it must have been pretty fubar'd so did anyone check out your fuel pump?>!?!???!
